Add a code block
Put your DBML in a normal Confluence code block, the same way you would paste any other snippet.
CONFLUENCE CLOUD · BUILT ON ATLASSIAN FORGE
Write your schema as DBML in a code block and insert the macro. You get an entity-relationship diagram that changes when the code does, drawn inside the reader's browser with nothing sent outside your Confluence site.
WHAT IT DOES
Database documentation goes stale the moment the diagram becomes a picture. This one is drawn from the code block, every time the page loads.
HOW IT WORKS
The macro reads one page: the one it sits on. There is no account to create, no service to connect, and nothing to install beyond the app itself.
Put your DBML in a normal Confluence code block, the same way you would paste any other snippet.
Type / and choose DBML diagram. Leave it on auto detect, or point it at a specific block from the macro's settings.
The diagram appears under the code block. Edit the DBML later and the diagram follows — there is no image to regenerate.
WHAT IT DRAWS
Every table as a card, with column types and markers for primary keys, unique columns, not-null columns and auto-increment.
Foreign keys drawn between the columns that define them, table groups drawn as a labelled frame, and header colours carried through.
Click any diagram to open it full screen, then zoom with the toolbar, the wheel or the keyboard and drag to pan. A 120-table schema stays readable.
DATA AND PERMISSIONS
The app asks for a single Confluence permission, read:page:confluence, so it can read the page or blog post the macro sits on and find the code block to draw. It never writes to your content and never reads other pages.
Diagrams are drawn in the reader's own browser by code that ships inside the app. We operate no servers for it, store nothing, and send nothing to ourselves or any third party. It runs entirely on Atlassian infrastructure and is eligible for Atlassian's Runs on Atlassian programme.
PRICING
Sites of up to 10 users pay nothing. Above that it is priced per user per month, each band at its own rate: $1.20 for users 11–100, $0.95 for 101–250, $0.70 for 251–1,000, $0.60 for 1,001–2,500, and less again for larger sites, down to $0.40, in US dollars. Annual billing is ten times the monthly price, there is a 30-day free trial, and billing is handled by Atlassian.
DBML Diagrams for Confluence is available on the Atlassian Marketplace, which shows the exact price for any site size.
